Very warm welcome, fast, efficient and smiling service. We feel that there is a good atmosphere in the team. Delicious dishes, beautiful presentation. Mastered cooking of perch fillets and vegetables al dente. I would have just appreciated one or two more filets. We came back for a pizza evening which turned out not bad at all. View all feedback.
What Marl Muthu doesn't like about La Poste:
We came to dine at this restaurant following the recommendation of our relatives. After an hour of waiting, we received our lamb shank and our beef tartare. We were a little disappointed with the seasoning of our dishes, particularly the lamb shank which promised a sauce of honey, garlic, thyme and preserved lemon which was not found in the flavor of our dish. Very warm welcome, excellent cuisine, very clean and very cozy room, superb panorama. Top!
I have trouble with the false mountain atmosphere decor and the “gastro” service aspect. Tables already set for the meal at 11 a.m.... enough to dissuade you from drinking a coffee or an aperitif. I don't go to the mountains to find the constraints of the city. My comments reflect my opinion only. Others will be delighted to find city codes and comfort there.
The dishes we bought were very good and even well presented, asported, local product, worth the price
Far from expectations. We were told it’s the best in town. Well, it’s far from being the best. Beef/steaks were okeish, the lamb was not cooked enough, side orders boring, kids’ menus very poor, they had some good wines .. but far from cheap. All in all not good, rather expensive and they don’t accept Amex. We won’t return.
My husband and I went to this hotel for a one-night stay which included entries to the nearby spa (2 minutes by car) and a choice of three different meat-based fondues in the evening (chinoise, vigneronne or glareyarde). The welcome was warm and friendly. The room as well as the restaurant are tastefully decorated in an alpine style which we found very cozy and very detail oriented. Our only issue was with some of the service during dinner. One waitress was wonderful and very attentive. However, another waitress was spending more time talking to two of her friends at one table and basically ignoring other tables. She did not even greet us or present herself when she came to our table, basically just saying “Have you chosen?”. Moreover, the sommelier came to our table, arms crossed in front of him, not saying a word and then just staring at us, waiting for us to say good evening to him! We ordered a rather expensive bottle of wine which was unfortunately corked. When my husband pointed this out, the answer was “Are you sure?” As somebody who works in the hospitality industry, I found this behavior quite shocking and not a good reflection of the otherwise high quality of this hotel and restaurant.
