This ski area is full of restaurants and the food is generally very good. However, in this restaurant, the food is delicious AND innovative, not like the standard mountain food you’ll get everywhere else. Compliments to the chief! Service gets atrociously slow when it gets busy and then it’s very hard to get a table inside; food will take ages. Staff is naturally aggravated when this happens. So this place is best in off peak hours.
What an amazing place, lovely setting with amazing views, furry cushions on the chairs outside. Very welcoming and helpful staff. Great menu and ambiance. Book if you want to be sure of a table. ps Loos are amazing. Most are holes in the ground but not here!
Many ski lunch stops are crowded and disappointing. Campo Base is an exception. It’s a great meeting point in the mountains with really tasty food with a Himalayan twist. Expect healthy and subtly spiced food and large quantities. Good chai and fresh orange juice. Very friendly with a fire to help dry gear.
