Contribute FeedbackOverall, Saltwater Grill received mixed reviews. Some diners experienced issues with service, such as long wait times, while others praised the delicious food and attentive waitstaff. Menu changes were a point of contention for some, with beloved items no longer available. On the other hand, Sake Hana received high praise for its food, drinks, and service, with patrons raving about the creative sushi rolls, cocktails, and attentive waitstaff. As for the wine service, one customer suggested that the white wines should be served at a cooler temperature to match the sophisticated menu offerings. Despite some mixed feedback, both restaurants seem to have their strengths and could be worth a visit for those looking for a unique dining experience.
We eat at Sake 1-2 times a month on average. The food is always great. Unfortunately, the service has been slipping. The last 3 times we've been there, we waited 15-20 minutes before seeing a server. This past Friday (restaurant half full), I had to go to the front desk to have a server take our order. She was very attentive once she knew we were her table. She said the hostess never told her. Regardless of the why's, they need to fix a recurring issue. We've heard from friends that also love their food, that they have had similar service issues recently.
Although the soft shell crab appetizer and spider roll were good, we were disappointed in the sushi this time compared to many other dinners. It wasn’t as flavorful as usual. We had the oysters appetizer which were good but not worth the price for 6 oysters. The restaurant is attractive and pleasant even if it resides in a strip mall.
Service was awful, waited 20 minutes for our drink order from the bar. Waiter gave my appetizer to another person. The shrimp was very over cooked and to make matters worse the air conditioner was not working. The staff did not let anyone know about the AC issues before seating them. It was an awful experience
Good food, great service. A bit more expensive then the local competition
California dream was a DREAM to eat! I would get again!
