This is a straightforward Chinese restaurant that gets you in and out quickly. It takes me back to my days in Brooklyn. I haven't had Chinese food with perfectly fried wings like this since then, and the sweet tea really brings back memories. If you're looking for a cozy atmosphere, this isn't the place for you. They focus on serving good food quickly so you can be on your way. It's family-owned and has been in busin... View all feedback.
What Tez Immortal doesn't like about Shun Xing:

I have lived in the community for 20 years and have supported this restaurant. Never again. NONE of the cooks were wearing a mask. I felt like it is disrespectful to the community and to the pandemic. And looking through the glass you can see them rubbing their eyes and noses. I'm good. I was trying to treat myself during the pandemic. It was so bad, I had already paid for my food and I left it. Never again.
This place is horrible! I went based off other reviews it's like...how can anyone think this place is good? I ordered Sesame chicken I asked if they used white meat or dark. The lady said dark but for an up charge I could have white meat. Fine. I get home there's barely any mea at all! It's all breading I could not find the meat! I called to discuss I said there's no meat in the sesame chicken. I told her that I could bring it to show her. The lady says she knows what it looks like I don't need to show her. She was unconcerned, no apology or acknowledgment. There is absolutely no way the cook doesn't know how little meat is being used. I'd question if it is in fact meat at all. That was my first last time. Don't waste your money. Oh, and as shown in the pictures you get 3 little pieces of soggy broccoli. Just horrible food!
I used to go there and get takeout a lot, but in this day of Chinese places having the frequency and care given of burger joints, you have to come correct to get respect. This is an average place, so if you you have about $7, and you don't care, and you don't want McDonald's, you're in luck. There are other places in the Redan Road area that have better food for about the same and lower prices, like Rice China and Main Moon. If you need real Chinese and don't mind traveling for it, I will always suggest Lucky Key. They even have a sister Japanese Hibachi joint next door. Tell'em Jason sent you.
Best Chinese food, this side of town. All food is cooked to order, no steam tables. Shrimp Fried rice and Shrimp egg rolls, loaded with shrimp, my favorite dishes, Moo Goo Gai Pan, Shrimp and Snow peas, Huge and delicious Chicken Wings.
We were first-timers. Ordered a sesame chicken meal and general tso's meal with chicken fried rice and a sweet and sour meal with pork fried rice and a couple of egg rolls. All of the food was good. The portion size was good for the price. The lady at the counter was really nice and patient with us, considering that we came shortly before closing time. The only thing that I didn't care for was the atmosphere, the plastic barrier up separating them from us completely, and the box that you have to get your food out of. I'm not sure if it was up before covid or due to covid, but it seems so impersonal.
