What Madeleine Marchal doesn't like about Restaurant La Ferme:
We were able to walk to this restaurant from our delightful B&B, Domain de Rhodes, and we enjoyed a delicious bottle of red wine in a good-looking rustic dining room. That’s the best I can say about this restaurant. Service was awful and food was...mediocre. My vegetable soup was sweet and my husband’s beef was bland. Creme brûlée was boring. Coffee was bitter. Stop at the hotel for dinner, beautiful location tables are spread under the plants, slow service, but good food
Excellent cuisine, fresh products, impeccable and smiling service, country setting and quiet on the island.
Food tasteful num atmosphere acolhedor and pitoresco. se estiver fora da cidade, recomend. convenient fazer reservation.
I just want to say so much: the almost euphoric assessments here are in no way justified. all right. but nothing for vegetarian or even vegan except the usual salate, beilagengemüse, goat cheese. service times so. Conclusion: difficult.
We ate outside - lovely setting, under the trees. The Chef is a disciple of Escoffier and this is reflected in his sauces - I had a delicious lamb and vegetable reduction with my lamb dish, for which they thoughtfully provided a spoon. The steak was excellent too. The set menu is good value and there 's an interesting selection of Rhone wines - I recommend the Laudun 2015. It's a family place rather then a slick one, so the service can be a bit erratic - we waited forever for the bill, dunno why - but the staff were unfailingly friendly. Might not be the place if you like light, delicate small plates, I suppose.
