Pretentious but underwhelming food. Had the dinner included with our stay at the other Mercure hotel, and had a limited choice included in the dinner package (2 starters, 2 mains, 2 desserts of which you can choose either a starter or a dessert (I find this quite petty considering the previous night we had full menu in another restaurant . The service was good and I feel sorry for the waitress that attended us, I could see she was desolated when I let her know we didn 't like our main dish. The food has good and creative presentation, but lacks flavor and has combinations of ingredients that don 't go well together, or at least they didn 't go along in their execution. The vegetarian starter was cold except for the falafel which was slightly warm, the vegetable pieces were also a bit hard given they were cold. The other starter had the trout which was intentionally undercooked, which you 'd generally do when you have good quality fish but this tasted like frozen fish from the supermarket. The risotto underneath was ok I suppose. The first main was a pork breast cooked for 8 hours (probably sous vide as it was grey and looked boiled and marinated . It completely lacked seasoning, luckily there was a sauce which was quite good to give it some flavor other than that faint pork taste it had. There were some pieces of fried bread on top which were too hard to be enjoyable (used for texture contrast, but doesn 't work well when you can 't chew both things at once comfortably . Then it also had fregola with tomato sauce and cauliflower pieces, which felt like an afterthought to fill the plate. I was glad for the cauliflower though as it had good taste. Finally the dessert was some kind of bread pudding with cream, a piece of Madeleine on top (why? , ice cream, raisins and some sauce. This was good and we enjoyed it. Overall I hope they revisit the plates or remove them from the menu. I haven 't tried anything from the regular menu and I won 't be trying it either after this experience. I also didn 't see anyone that wasn 't a hotel guest so I assume it 's just there as an option for the guests to have... And finally, there was a cat on top of the bar, which while cute I find unhygienic and out of place (it was never mentioned nor were we warned about it . My mother is allergic to cats, nothing happened as there was distance but it could 've made the experience even worse.

Nice atmosphere in the inner courtyard. Service was great. Food was beautifully plated, flavor was good but not great, nice overall

Very good for a hotel restaurant in a tourist hotspot. The somewhat eclectic menu was well executed, imaginative and tasty. Staff were pleasantly jovial and friendly. Courtyard setting was delightfully quiet and sheltered. High point for me was the Feux des Mûres dessert: volcano-shaped pyramids of blackberry mouse dipped in dark chocolate, filled with blackberry coulis and accompanied by chocolate crisp “soil” and guanduja. Finished the meal off perfectly for me.

Cute restaurant! service was a bit slow and portions were small. We had a wonderful time! The ambiance was definitely worth the trip. Try it and see for yourself.
