I would prefer to go to McDonalds. We took the all you can eat menu at 27 euros, and to be frank, it was terrible. This is food of the lowest quality.
Of course as a vegetarian you would never consider to choose a restaurant named "Meatpacking". On the online menue is not a single vegetarian dish. I only went there because it was a group event. There is one single vegetarian dish on the menue: Ricotta spinach lasagne (not very original but at least something). You are allowed to pick a side dish. I chose the eggplant. It didn't come - the waiter told me I never ordered it which was not true. First he offered to bring it later and then he changed his mind and told me it's not possible to choose eggplant together with lasagne. Lucky me my neighbour shared her eggplant with me which turned out to be better than the rather small lasagne. I wonder why it's forbidden to order eggplant together with lasagne. Or did the waiter only made this up? Anyways, he didn't tell me so at the beginning. Oh - I almost forgot the other vegetarian options: You can get a foie salade without the foie (but probably for the same price, I didn't bother to ask) and they would improvise a french fries and vegetable plate. After the eggplant experience I was not interested in trying the desert. The coffee was fine. Advice for vegetarians: unless you are dragged to this place it's not worth trying it out. There are many better places in Avignon.
From the finish we announced the color, 35 mins for lunch because resumption of work: waiting to be served, almost 30 mins; to serve hot dishes before the salads is not the best idea.Good and copious hot dishes and affordable prices. On the other hand, to charge more than 14€ for a salad that contained some green salad leaves, 2 hard eggs, 4 squares of festa, 1 teaspoon of red peppers idem for the greens, 3 cherry tomatoes and 1 bowl of black olives (was there a promo on the olives?!?!) it's abused.Bref result not even the excuse to take the coffee !
We were warmly welcomed in this restaurant during our stay at the Festival d'avignon. The beef coast is excellent! to be recommended
Finding a table on Monday becomes a bunny, which keeps surprising me. Especially if you don't want to take your car to cross the agglomeration to the city, Monteux, Avignon-Nord or others. When it's a good table with a choice of very well cooked dishes, it's approaching the exceptional. When you're offered the smile of the boss and the waiters, a menu of the attractive and alleviating noon, it's almost collector! The kitchen offers some originalities, always with a mastered cooking (for the dishes I tasted). I enjoyed wine with glass, certainly without choice other than the 3 colors, but at the price as soft as the palace. I liked the reasonable price of aperitives. In short, after several changes in successive badges, which was the "extra-muros" and today "the bavard" is an address I recommend, at a price level justified by the reception and the kitchen.
