The Cuban emigre owner is an engaging fellow but d... read more We tried this place for a change of style of food after having a weekend of hearty Burgundian food in Beaune. The Cuban emigre owner is an engaging fellow but doesn't have much English. We wanted to split a seafood main course as an entree and ordered a main couse each but it lost something in the translation and we ended up with one of the ordered main courses split. No complaints as our French is very limited and the food was good and tasty in any event. A bottle of local Cairanne rose wine at 23 euros was excellent with the style of food. We were the only two diners the evening we visited so I suspect this place does most of its business during peak tourist season.

The had time to talk, give advice and everything you eat is 'homemade '. Even the fries for our children were handmade. If you want something different then the 'normal 'french restaurants then this is a good place to go.
