Busy restaurant serving traditional galettes and crepes in a small square near to the Palais des Papes. Wine was exceptionally cheap for a carafe between two, so we enjoyed this alongside our traditional ham and egg galettes which were delicious. We shared a sweet crepe to finish off a lovely leisurely lunch. View all feedback.
What Adam C doesn't like about Creperie du Cloitre:
If you are after a quick galette/crepe on a lunchtime during an exploration of Avignon then this is a good option. The food is better than average for this type of thing and the service was typical of a Provence tourist business ; The location is what makes it stand out. Its in a lovely little square and the people watching potential is excellent. Value for money is average. View all feedback.
A pleasant staff a good atmosphere is very nice! Price low enough so don't wait for luxury!
A very friendly setting, the Staff and a kindness and attention that touches us, I took the Poisson of the day and it was an excellent grilled salmon well, The quantity was well present and I returned very satisfied; when the ice creams are delicious because there are bursts of fruit, pistachio; who goes with his taste Brief have feasted there I recommend
Very good restaurant to eat cakes, I just don't like the habit of the Avignonese to grab people on the street and the fakes too obvious with the customers.
Simple kitchen, we ate well in a pleasant setting.
Came 5 years ago. It's changed a lot. In a word “run away”!. No pancakes in summer. We wonder why. For a creperie, it's pretty stupid. Lukewarm water. It's true that it's summer, at 35°, it would be a shame to offer fresh water. We'll bring you the starter and the main course at the same time. Put everything in a bucket, it will go faster... Yes, yes... Polystyrene squid. Day-old bread. No blackcurrant or morello cherry for ice cream. Why make an effort at the heart of the tourist season, eh... I'll spare you the details, like empty salt and pepper shakers on the table, and the dessert of one of the guests brought 10 minutes late compared to the others.... Positive point, the beef, very good and the service with a smile. In short, here, we see the tourist coming from afar. For an Avignon resident like me, it stings...
