we stumbled upon this restaurant as we were touring Avenches. the food and ambiance did not disappoint. the staff were helpful and friendly and spoke english. we started w/the chevre and honey salad as an appetizer and our main meal was the pork and cordon blue dishes. all 3 dishes were yummy and the portions were big! for dessert we order the mixed plate w/c included mini versions of lava cake, creme brulee, tiramis... What Laurence doesn't like about Union:
Huge disappointment for a plate at 36. no salad as a starter no tartar sauce 8 waterlogged perch fillets with a rancid taste Vegetables with tasteless peeling without taste a pool of water and oil at the bottom of the plate and a mini bowl of fries, the price and the meal remains on my stomach View all feedback.

Kleines, gut gelegenes Restaurant, das Essen vom Vorspeise bis zum Nachtisch war perfekt, auch der Empfang und der Service! Hier können Sie ohne Bedenken hingehen!
Wir bestellten zwei Gerichte: ein Cordon Bleu und ein Schweinefleisch mit Honigsauce. Das Cordon Bleu war wunderschön, mit 2 Käsesorten, Pommes Frites und etwas asiatischem Gemüse, das dem Gericht eine neue Dimension verlieh. Liebte es.Das Schweinefleisch wurde meistens auf asiatische Weise gemacht, aber mit einem Schweizer Touch.Sehr empfehlenswert.
Alright! Advice and friendly meal
Superb establishment, the owner listens to customers. The kitchen is very good. Prices are a little expensive but totally within the range of the region.
