Small menu but delicious and well executed with love. Housewine only 2,50 a glass, omg. We loved it, had the cod-cakes with rice and it tasted excellent. Go there!

We arrived early to Portuguese standards (7pm) and were the only... read more Very glad we went out of the tourist zone in Aveiro to find this cozy neighborhood restaurant. We arrived early to Portuguese standards (7pm) and were the only guests there. However, staff and friends were chatting in the back, gave the place a domestic feeling (the arrival of a dog improves the effect) while a professional feeling. The wine list is extensive, but our sweet server hit her de facto house red (Casa do Canto) based on our preferences. It was very delicious. She then taught us about the Baga grapes and nearby (between Aveiro and Coimbra) Bairrada DOC. Food was on site and the local oysters were among the best we had. While there are many beautiful restaurants in Aveiro, I recommend Rekint for a local neighborhood experience.
