Excellent food. The owner or manager was snippy, but our waitress was lovely. The inside was a bit too dark, but there wasn?t enough room to accommodate all of us outside. The AC was dripping on our heads because it was a humid day. We would come back and sit outside next time. View all feedback.
What Julia Crago doesn't like about Princeton Grill:
The bouncer takes his job way too seriously. I have never seen that in my entire life. Took my real id and would not give it back. It was genuinely valid and he refused to return it back to me. Would not recommend this to anyone. If you look young for your age be prepared to be interrogated. As if already looking young doesn?t make you anxious enough. Would give zero stars for being extremely rude and shining a light... View all feedback.
4 star leaning into a 4.5, but I?m being generous because we did have excellent service out on the patio. It?s also dog friendly, for what it?s worth. And the large open sides of the restaurant mean you?ll be way more COVID safe even inside, if there isn?t enough space outside. The food was hit and miss. A lot of food is fried in cheap oil and you should probably avoid the more classically ?American? side of the menu that skews ?bar?. The salads are uninspired and appetizers feel expensive based on the quality presented. It?s an extensive menu but doesn?t get interesting until the seafood section. You?re right on the coast here in stone harbor so you should absolutely go with the seafood. It?s a quality step above everything else on their menu. If I could provide any feedback I?d say really examine pricing of the appetizers and salads and related, and look at raising the quality and sustainability of the vegetables and meats ? the seafood is great by comparison, and really should be what you gravitate toward, as mentioned earlier. Drinks are excellent and made well, would say they?re probably stronger than you?d expect so take note. Lots in our photos today. With such an extensive menu it?s odd they only offer two deserts: chocolate peanut butter pie and crème brûlée cheesecake. Go cheesecake if you feel like it. The glassware is good. Silverware and napkin quality are excellent. Good steel. There are a couple better spots in the area but I think Princeton makes the top 20 pretty comfortably.

The Princeton Bar and Grill is a nice place but its nearly 20 dollar burger was dry and lacking in flavor.. and they forgot the onions too! With ketchup it was barely palatable. The bar people are super friendly and efficient but its questionable the burger is worth the price.
Then the manager approached us, and she was incredibly rude. She said she'd been observing us and noticed that we had stopped eating and were just drinking, and that we needed to leave the table. The people at the adjacent table appeared annoyed as well, possibly having overheard her rudeness or because they too were asked to vacate in case anyone came in looking for a table. We definitely won’t be returning!
The service was excellent. Although my steak was overcooked, the appetizers were very enjoyable. It's a lovely place to dine.
