What Eliza Jenkins doesn't like about Circle Tavern:
Square was renovated a year or two ago, and it looks fantastic. There are plenty of outdoor seating options, and the interior has a really cool vibe—definitely cooler than Princeton when you ask me. View all feedback.
The inmates are running the asylum. Waited an additional 30+ minutes to receive two pizzas. Sure the kitchen was slammed ? but our pizzas happened to be waiting patiently on top of the oven the whole time we waited. How?s that for customer service. This is the kind of place that will get by because of location, despite abysmal management. Sandwiches and pizza are tasty but the wings are overcooked and dry. Won?t be back.
Good burger, excellent amount of cheesy. The service was really nice too. Great experience, and great collection of drinks and chips, would recommend if ever looking for something nice and cheap in Avalon, which is rare ?
A must to stop when you visit Cape May County. Circle Pizza offers a thin crust cake that is delicious. Usually there would be five stars, but there would be 4 for the following reasons. While I understand that this place is in Avalon, for a 16 inch cake, the price of $21.95 is a little expensive. On holiday? It doesn't matter to dig deep, but I wouldn't pay these prices regularly. The menu also contains a sign that prices can be changed without notice. During the posted price was $21.95, a big cake was $22.89. The garlic bread, the $6.99 was $7.99 and a small 2 ounce sauce cup w as $1.15. While I understand the need to increase prices, take the time to change the menus. When I ordered my cake on the phone for picking up when we arrived, I decided to eat it there as nobody sat in the dinning area. I arrived early and asked the pizza to be served on a tray where we wanted to eat. After waiting for a while, I looked at the boxes and noticed that the pizza was in a pizza box. Not sure how long it was sitting, but as we all know, a fresh cake from the oven is much different from one that changes in a box. Yeah, I know I ordered takeout and changed my mind, but how hard is it to put it on a tray. All in all, I'll make it a great pizza and I'm sure I'll always stop. I never had anything except the pizza so I can't really comment.
$5 per slice (I?m assuming)? price wasn?t posted. Had it been, we?d have ordered a whole pizza which appeared to be around $21.00. Not sure how 4 slices could cost more than a whole large pizza. 4 plain slices and 2 bottles of soda for $28.00. Also, service was extremely rude. Clearly young kids, but rude nonetheless. Food was also cold. Maybe we caught them on a bad night, but it wasn?t worth the money as people who regularly eat in Sea Isle/ Avalon
Provides a very large pizza, which is good for big families. My one bite review 7.1. Took my pizza to go, had family in the car, kids screaming they were hungry, wife yelling I was driving too fast to find a spot to park and eat. After finding a spot, we opened the pizza box and the pizza wasn't cut. Just one big uncut pie. We had to rip into it like animals. I have been on this planet for many many years and this is the first time I bought an uncut pizza. This is the quality of workers you get now. The A-players are collecting checks, the people who don't care are working.
