We have been regular patrons of the Brew Pub in Avalon, but the food quality during our recent visit was disappointingly poor. It seems that the kitchen staff struggles to handle the dinner rush during peak season. We have decided to only dine there during the off season when the service is more consistent. The saving grace of our meal was the excellent service provided by our server, who took great care of us. The wait staff was fantastic, but unfortunately the kitchen fell short on this particular night.
The only letdown was the entree we ordered. The two appetizers, calamari and burrata, were delicious. The pizza and mahi mahi tacos were also fantastic. Unfortunately, the shrimp and grits entree was bland and lacking in flavor.
Excellent fish tacos, served at lunch and dinner. The menu is subtle that it's also available at lunch. Crab cake sandwich is thick and well complimented with Old Bay fries. Outdoor seating is pleasant. I didn't get to try the beers, but I didn't need it to know that this is a great Avalon eatery.
I always enjoy a great meal at this restaurant. This place is fantastic!
A group of six of us went out for lunch, and everyone truly enjoyed their meal. To top it off, since we visited during their "soft opening," we received our appetizer/salad and sandwich/entree for just $15 per person! It was a fantastic deal.
