Avalon Freeze

Classic ice cream. Great selection and outdoor seating.

They used to be good until they switched owners. Now the base for the ice cream is sooo milky and tastes bad. But if you like that kind of taste, by all means this place is good for that!

The beach is a beach but an Avalon Freeze is sublime. Super friendly staff. Saw the owner hosing down the sidewalk early one morning. Walked there after the Murray Mile ocean race a few bucks short of what I needed to treat my companion. Gracious staff trusted me to come back and make it right. True Avalon hospitality

Prices aren't horrendous, honestly, for being a summer go-to spot in Avalon. Soft serve is creamy and not gritty, which sometimes it can be. There are plenty of toppings and cone varieties. Has a nice little sitting area on the corner, and they recently changed their napkins, which are better than the ones they had at the beginning of the summer. It is cash only.
