We have eaten here a number of times now and were so impressed we even got them to cater for a function we were having. The menu changes continuously according to what's available, and the owners are more than happy to consider requests. It's a fun, relaxed, family owned restaurant that serves up fresh, authentic and lovingly made dishes. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Ouzo Greek Restaurant:
My Dutch nephew makes better Greek food than this place.Better off going to the fish and chip shop for a better souvlaki. The dog wouldn't eat it either.Overpriced, overrated and generally not worth time or money. View all feedback.
I could make a better meal with the eyes. Finally looking forward to a real Greek meal, but unfortunately a few burned fragments of pita and dry meat with a spoon of soggy salat bits for $22 do not cut. the local fish chip shop do a much better work for half price. never goes back there, even if you paid me.
Fab food and atmosphere efaristo Effie and her team. It took us back to Greek holidays. Great Greek music and yummy food Saganaki Soulaki and awesome Baklava with an awesome Greek wine list so casual and enjoyable
I ate with a group booking which filled the restaurant. There were 40 of us. We had a pre arranged set menu mezze plate followed by a main course of slow roasted lamb shoulder with lemony roast potatoes, coleslaw and tzatziki, then a dessert of rice pudding flavoured with Chios Mastika (a liqeur produced only on the island of Chios), topped with a fresh respberry. There was ample food and it was delicious. The mezze plate included tzatziki, hummus, dolmades (1 per person), an eggplant dip, taramosalata, marinated olives (especially yum), white beans in a tomato sauce and warm pita triangles. The latter were refilled on demand. The dishes were served efficiently with plenty of explanatory commentary. This created a wonderful, warm vibe for our party. The restaurant appeared to be operated by a husband and wife team, with the wife looking after table service. Our set menu cost $40 per person and included a glass of red or white wine, Greek naturally. I had a dry white and it was a little different to wines to which I'm accustomed but very good none the less. Wine was available by the bottle but did seem a little pricey $40 per bottle. So the food was excellent value, but add on wine by the bottle would increase the bill quickly. Overall we had an excellent meal for a large group with very good, friendly service at a very reasonable price.
I was looking forward to enjoying a traditional Greek souvlaki, but instead I received only four small pieces of pita bread, lamb on a skewer, and a minimal amount of salad. The food was below average and overpriced. I will not be returning to this restaurant.
We ordered 3 Mixed platters takeaway at a cost of $50 each(each platter was supposed to serve 2) for dinner for a group of six adults. Absolutely disappointed with the quantity and quality of the food. The meat was over cooked and consisted of 6 tiny lamb chops,, 3 small pork chops, 3 small pieces of chicken, 1 lamb skewer, the smallest serving of chips and 3 pieces of pita bread It came in an aluminium tray everything slopped into a pile with a small salad on the side for $150 I think I expected a little more! It was definitely not enough to feed 6 people. Absolute waste of money and tasted like rubber never ever eating at Ouzo again!
