Wonderful tasty pastries and breads that are as close to being in France as can be. If you frequently visit or are just discovering Avalon this patisserie is a must! Breads, pastries, meringues, sweet things - all on display, fresh & delicious. A top ten...More View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about La Banette:
I believe la banette holds the distinction for being the priciest baguette in Australia at $6. While the baguette was decent, it did not justify the high price tag. I personally prefer Lavie Belle Bakery, which is priced at $4.50 and tastes better. View all feedback.
The baguettes at this restaurant are excellent, with a very French taste and texture. However, I had negative experiences with the staff at the Mona Vale location on two separate occasions. I will not be returning there, and would prefer to drive to the Avalon outlet instead.
The closest to a French Baguette that we have had in Australia. Excellent pastries and cakes though they are quite expensive
We love pretty much everything at Banette. But we have to say a big thanks for this amazing birthdaycake for our daughter today. It was layered, light, creamy, just perfect
I had tried almond croissants from several bakeries in the West End of Brisbane and was often let down by the high prices and lackluster quality - many were simply filled with almond paste. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the almond croissants from this bakery. They were perfectly baked with just the right amount of almond paste, all at a very reasonable price. The family runs two bakeries in the Northern Beaches area of Sydney, and I highly recommend visiting their establishment in Mona Vale.
