Turf N Surf Po' Boy - Austin

The best black fish tacos ever! Always! Somewhere! Throughout the year we lived in the Austin area, we tried the Snapper, cod, healbutt and sea bass all darkened and all were incredibly delicious! the same black fish on a salad are also so fantastic (pro tip for salad: order an additional side of their Zilantro Ranch Dressing it is so good!! Update, 2022: We are pleased to report that the black cod tacos and black cod salad were both (still extremely delicious!! This is a not to miss place in Austin to eat! Up there with Franklins.

Delicious Kiss Yo Mama Tacos! These are bacon wrapped shrimp based tacos and they are delicious. The red beans and rice side is ok. I recommend adding some hot sauce after you taste them. The jalapeno hush puppies are ok.

Dear lord, there is no reason the blackened rib eye tacos should be this good. It's been a couple of hours and I'm considering eating there again for dinner. If you're going to get a side of fries, you should probably have someone to share them with. You get so many. It's attached to a bar so you can eat indoors if the weather isn't in your favor. The staff is really friendly and also let's you know about some of the things they only have on weekends. Would definitely return when I'm in the area. Edit: I went back again before heading home. I Gotta say do NOT get the oysters. They are bad. Some weird after taste that I didn't enjoy at all, and even then, there wasn't any seasoning so that you could taste something else. Stick with the ribeye tacos.

That was the best food I had in Austin. The puppies, the puppies, red beans and rice (which tastes better than it looked) were all excellent. The rump at the bar was great. There is a lot on the menu, I would like to try something else, but this catfish was so good. Will probably eat here a few times when I'm in Austin
