Thundercloud Subs - Austin

Simple, fresh, and tasty subs. The staff consists of prototypical Austin hipsters, but they all know how to make a mean sandwich. My top picks are the Egg Salad Sandwich, Veggie Delite, and the NADA Chicken Parmesan. (Yes, I'm a lacto ovo vegetarian. Fast, cheap, good you really can have it all!

I love when avocado is standard on a sub, not extra cost! ~ Cloud is much better than subway and better than WhatWich! Fresh and delicious. Great meat, vegetables and bread. All amazing!

I grew up in Austin. I've eaten Thundercloud Subs since I was a child in the seventies. These places in Austin-Stapel I have always loved this place great food great people always a great atmosphere. Am I biased? Yes I am.

I love thundercloud subs. The ingredients are fresh and prices are reasonable. They are great for vegetarians, as they have a fake-chicken patty that they can put on a sub with veggies or with marinara and cheese for fake-chicken parmigiana subs.

I like ThunderCloud Subs for the quality of their food and the service. It might be a little more expensive than Subway, but worth it in my opinion. Here you have one competent sandwich maker making your sandwich from start to finish rather than it being passed off in assembly line fashion by a group of people only pretending to pay attention to your order. My favorites are the nada chicken parmesan and the texas tuna. This ThunderCloud in particular has a great location downtown. It's next to a Royal Blue, so what I'll do is get a bottle of beer at Royal Blue, get a sub at Thundercloud, and sit at the tables outside for a cheap dinner.
