November 2023: I ordered the Smoked Bone-In Ham for Thanksgiving Day and since we was there to pick it up decided to order and enjoy a nice lunch. I had planned ordering turkey (for thanksgiving) but their Tuesday special was Fried Chicken with Mashed Potatoes. I could not resist and ordered it. The staff was super nice and friendly. The plate consisted of two pieces of chicken, mashed potatoes, biscuit, side of raspberry sauce, and side of gravy. The chicken was soft on the inside with a sup
I wish BBQ wasn’t so expensive, but I understand why it is. Switch cooks some great BBQ. The Diablo Sandwhich is excellent with a “Docta Peppa” if you’re in a hurry.
Had the brisket, Turkey, sausage and wings with corn casserole Brussels sprouts fries and Mac and cheese. All the sides were very good and the Turkey and sausage were also great. The brisket was pretty good, although a bit dry. Overall a good experience and looking forward to going back.
The Switch is a Bel Terra staple. While you can drive 25 minutes into Austin for dynamite BBQ, that 's not what this place is about. They server consistently good BBQ (not great, but good), and have a great little bar scene. I 'm a bit sad as Janea 's not there as frequently now, as she is a critical component to how awesome the service and atmosphere are here. It 's definitely priced like it 's great BBQ, as are most things in the area. But really it 's the drinks, atmosphere, Janea, and that Dirty
Phenomenal BBQ. At this point I’ve tried all the meats and most sides. These guys are creative and consistent. Every single thing I’ve tried has been top notch and my favorite thing to do is try different bbq joints. My wife loves it too and that’s saying something! We just finished up the Sunday brunch after church and it’s so unique and delicious. Really appreciate all the hard work that goes into this quality and fresh food in Dripping Springs.
