I'm gonna take my rag sauce off in austin. they have smoked gouda as topping option, so add it and speck to their standard pepperoni/moushroom and they are.

Literally my spot. If I?m out and in the area, this is where myself and anyone I?m with goes to. I checked the time, and had 30-45 minutes before close so I walked over? never been ushered out faster ever when I was willing to buy a whole pie, when I only needed a few slices. I was told ?I have to make pizza for the window before I take orders?. If I even decide to make another pie?? and repeatedly reminded that it would be 30+ minutes for him to make pizza for the window and then a paying customer who was there I get it that business is business? but if you don?t want to work just say you are closed?. I work in sales, and if it?s not worth my time I say it? if I?m here for the business, you make it work. Time to find another spot if this is the attitude you get on a slow night in Austin?

The staff is amazing. The pizza is amazing and the crust reminds me of the pizza my dad made. Will definitely come back!!!

My friends and family know all too well that I have a favorite pizza place, and I take them there whenever I'm in the mood for pizza. Without fail, they end up having an amazing experience every time. The pizza is bursting with flavor, with the ideal texture and just the right balance of cheese and sauce. It has all the right ingredients that keep you coming back for more. I've found myself going back for extra slices after only planning to have three. I've been a loyal customer for years, and even though the restaurant is a mile away, I wish they would open another location on the east side. While there are many great pizza spots in Austin, none come close to The Onion. I'm a frequent visitor and can't believe it took me this long to write a review. I've always sung its praises to my friends and family, and many have tried it and loved it as well. The staff at The Onion recognize me every time I visit, and our friendly chats only enhance my experience. I can’t stop raving about how much I love their pizza! You absolutely must try it for yourself - it's the best pizza in Austin!

This pizza spot might look simple and understated, but it's a hidden treasure run by a warm couple who genuinely love serving their customers. The pizza slices are delicious and available late into the night. I personally think it's better than the choices available on the east side. Although they occasionally close on certain Monday nights in February, they always apologize and make amends. The staff is friendly, and the pizza slices are really tasty.
