The food at Texican Cafe Manchaca is truly outstanding. Whether it's the El Paso Enchiladas, Beef Fajitas, or Shrimp Flautas, every dish is packed with flavor. We frequently come by just to enjoy their homemade chips, tortillas, and salsa. After 25 years of consistently excellent meals, Texican remains one of my favorite spots!
The food is okay. I probably wouldn’t choose to come here on my own, but since my company holds meetings here and the boss picks this spot, I might find myself returning.
Texican Cafe perfectly captures the Tex-Mex vibe with delicious flavors and a cozy atmosphere. I especially love the enchiladas, and the salsa has the perfect kick. Whenever I’m in the mood for genuine, hearty Mexican food in Austin, this is my top choice.
I savored the delicious Maya Queso, which was served with crispy, hot tostada chips. I tried both of their signature frozen Margaritas; if you like a sweeter drink, the Morada Margarita is an excellent option. However, my personal favorite was the Verde Margarita, which has a delightful hint of melon and cucumber.
This was my first visit to this restaurant, and I had a strong craving for tacos. While they were good, I wouldn’t say they were exceptional. I would give Taco Bell a solid 4 out of 5 stars.
