The slice of pizza was huge! It was practically like getting an individual small pizza. The salad that went along with my lunch special was also big not just a side salad. And to top if off, the food was sooo good! Will definitely be coming back again! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Russo's New York Pizzeria Austin Arboretum Area:
the restaurant is clearly underused. even in a reservation, there was no table big enough for our party, so we pushed ourselves into one. at the theke had to wait about 20 minutes. then there was a lot of confusion to order and make sure it was right. the gentleman who cooked also brought our food while two other people were standing around. we got a pizza that wasn't ours. So I took it back, it belonged to another t... View all feedback.
Gave this place a try on a whim. Staff was nice. Ambience was casual and fine. Food was a let down. Chicken parm filet was burned/charred black over a good quarter of it, and for some reason the chicken filet had been sliced up before it was put in the oven. Spaghetti on the side was underdone a solid 2 3 minutes short of being proper al dente. Red sauce flavor was good, but why was the entire dish swimming in a pool of thin tomato water? For $30 all in that's for one dish, a drink, and tip not good enough.
Atmosphere was ok, food was nothing to write home about, authenticity was missing from the dishes, portions were uneven, tables were poorly cleaned Sunday 5pm we were the only guests, speaks a lot about a place, they asked for a honest review. Although pizza was not bad.
I ordered a pizza for takeout from Russo's because I received a $5 off coupon in the mail. I placed the order at the restaurant and waited about 20-30 minutes before my order was ready. It appeared as if some employees were in training, but the service was still pleasant. They made my pizza fresh to order, and it tasted so delicious! I felt that the size of the pizza made it a pretty good value for the price. The crust was thin and the toppings worked well together. I am usually not a fan of sausage on pizza, but I thought the sausage on this pizza was really good. While it didn't exactly compare to the pizzas I've had in NYC, I enjoyed it and would order from them again.
Not a fancy restaurant. Food was ok, everything had an upcharge. Just a little underwhelming overall.
Excellent customer service and mouth watering fresh product! I was able to watch my meal be made to order by friendly smiling staff. This quaint corner pizzaria is clean, open, and inviting. My food had excellent Bold Flavor was perfectly crunchy and cheesy and exactly what I ordered!!!Wheelchair accessibility: Open welcoming easily accessableDietary restrictions: They have Gluten free options
