Onetaco - Austin
Onetaco
Description
OneTaco delivers flavorful, authentic tacos with fresh, made-on-site tortillas and a vibrant variety of sauces that please both meat lovers and vegetarians alike. The menu offers standout options like pollo asado, carne asada, and pastor, with a friendly atmosphere and fair prices around $15 per person. However, the restaurant struggles with slow, inconsistent service and occasional order mistakes, which detract from the overall experience. While some dishes like nachos may need refinement, the inviting ambiance and tasty food keep patrons returning. Improvements in staff attentiveness and order accuracy would elevate this promising Austin taqueria further.

This is an example of poor service despite having good management. I had to ask three times for the number one carne asada, and they still didn’t bring it. Additionally, they charged me for flan, but guess what? They didn’t have any flan available. The staff really needs to improve; the restaurant deserves only one star until they learn to treat customers better. It's also quite pricey—almost $30 for two tacos!
I recall better menu and service, yet the Big Kahuna Taco remains a solid breakfast choice.
This restaurant has a very slow service and often falls short on fulfilling orders. I called in my order and was told it would be ready in 10 minutes. I arrived at the expected time, but after waiting for an additional 15 minutes, my order was finally ready. They kept telling me it was "almost ready." It shouldn't take 25 minutes to make tacos. They need to be more honest with their customers.
Nachos libers was really good as well as the horchata (she said it was rice water and cinnamon. Ohh and that Street corn come get you some.
