Everything about our evening was wonderful. The food is expensive but delicious, plus you add the wellness fee and you have a very expensive evening. I am all in for taking care of the staff, it’s a must. Will definitely recommend Olamaie’s for a very special occasion. View all feedback.
What OpenTable Diner dislikes about Olamaie:
Wonderful elevation of southern classics. Everything we had tasted both classic and new at the same time. Make sure to ask your server about portions as the entree sizes vary greatly. Also, get the biscuits. View all feedback.
I absolutely adore this restaurant, it's the ideal spot for special occasions. The service is consistently warm, attentive, and enthusiastic. The cuisine is mouthwatering, and I love the variety of rotating menus. My only minor gripe is that it can get a bit uncomfortably warm and stuffy indoors, which detracts from the overall experience.
The food was very good! There were so many flies in around the tables, it felt like we were eating on the patio. The butter beans were heavenly.
We had an amazing experience at Olamaie for my sister’s birthday celebration. It was a group of 6 visiting from Seattle and Los Angeles and this was one of the best dining experiences we’ve all had. Our server Matthew was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Chef Amanda also came over to our table to say hello and was very generous with her time. The food was all amazing and the service impeccable. We were also pleasantly surprised at how reasonably priced our meal was. This was my second time dining at Olamaie, with the last time in 2018 and it was as great, if not better than I remembered. A must do when in Austin!!
Amazing Experience! A must dine while in Austin! Once we entered the restaurant we were treated like family and so well taken care of by the entire team! Our Server was Kyle, he offered the history of Olamaie and guided us through an excellent diningexperience start to finish. Each dish was presented and explained. Did not take photos of the food as we enjoyed the moments andflavors of each course! Highly recommend! Be sure to order the biscuits!
I can’t believe I haven’t heard of this place sooner. Once I had mentioned I was going here to a few friends I had a lot of people say it was their go to and it was absolutely fantastic. They were exactly right. The staff was absolutely wonderful andthe food was to die for. The manager on site, Jessie, was such a great manager and very kind. Our server Kyle was a 10 out of 10and had a great recommendations. HIGHLY recommend this spot. From start to finish it was a perfect evening
