I discovered this restaurant when I was running errands today. Such a nice place. The service ladies were so pleasant and the food was great. I'll be visiting again. View all feedback.
What Nicole Herzog doesn't like about Ng Cafe:
Today I was struck by an irresistible craving for mango sticky rice. That's when I found Ng Cafe. It's near my place of work, but I'd never tried it before. Then I saw that the bread and tofu are housemade, so I HAD to get a tofu banh mi. Totally blownaway by how good my food was. The tofu was super fresh, lightly fried with LOTS of black pepper, just how I like it. The breadwas amazingly crusty and chewy. The mango... View all feedback.
Best freshly baked tofu baguette I have tried so far. They make there own tofu and bake baguette every day. All the recipes are made from scratch it-seems. Worth trying out tofu baguette for sure.Good service was offered. Tried their papaya salad. Loved the flavor where the spiciness was coming from green chilies. Tofu was very fluffy and you can definitely differentiate store brought vs this store tofu. The baguette was right crisp and you can feel the freshness for sure.Next time I will only visit this place for tofu banh mi for sure. Worth trying.
Didn’t stand up to the hype of some other reviews which I read for this place.Family owned restaurant (assuming based on operations I saw) with decent prices.Food didn’t seem specific to call it Vietnamese. Has green curry fried rice to lemon cookies as desserts kind of variety.Located in strip mall so parking is available.Atmosphere was mellow.Service was fast.Staff was helpful and polite.Egg drop/ hot n sour soup comes complimentary with your order.Food taste was okay at best. Banh mi was not good. Hardly any veggies or fillings.Tofu has a great texture, very soft and fresh.Overall, won’t drive more than 10 mins to dine in or get a take out.
This is actually Donna Paul's wife posting. I went there on a whim with my longtime bestie and absolutely loved it there. This is a family ran cafe and the food, service and atmosphere was unbelievable. Both my friend and I are really picky and they made everything perfect for us. We ate there and bought more food to take home because it was all so delicious. The husband cooks the meals, the wife bakes the breads and the son makes the deserts. They are also such sweet nice wonderful people. It's also a very comfortable cute place. We will definitely be returning here often. We were estatic to find this treasure of a place!
Absolutely delicious! I love the pad Thai and pineapple fried rice!
First time I had it the grilled pork banh mi it was amazing, best I?d had in years since the places I used to love for banh mi had closed or their banh mi?s had worsened in quality. This past Sunday I finally went back but this time the banh mi was justalright. I could hardly taste the mayo, and it had too much butter on it (butter was literally dripping out). I think mayo goesreally well with all the veggies on it, and of course after it being the best banh the first time I was really disappointed. After seeing the size of the sandwich I added a slice of mango cheesecake, I figured with how hungry I was that the sandwichalone wouldn?t fill me up, plus I couldn?t resist. It was delicious, but $5 for a small slice of cheesecake is a lot. I?dprobably give the banh mi another try sometime because I?m hoping it was just a fluke.
