What Pratik J dislikes about Ng Cafe:
Didn’t stand up to the hype of some other reviews which I read for this place.Family owned restaurant (assuming based on operations I saw) with decent prices.Food didn’t seem specific to call it Vietnamese. This was my first visit to the restaurant, and I completely understand why it has such high ratings. Wow! We started with Crab Rangoon and Golden Tofu for appetizers, both of which were simple but absolutely delicious. For our main courses, we tried the NG House Noodles with chicken and the Evil Jungle Curry, both bursting with amazing flavors. I was truly impressed by the variety of dishes and desserts on the menu. And the price was fantastic: for just $50.00, we enjoyed 2 appetizers, 2 main dishes, 2 soups, a mango cheesecake, and Korean sweet buttercream bread. I highly recommend this place. I can't express enough how much I appreciate the owners who prepare everything fresh. Absolutely amazing!

This delightful family-owned restaurant serves up delicious food in a warm and cozy setting. They offer a wonderful variety of dishes, with most items priced fairly for the quality you receive. Everything we sampled, from the Fried Tofu and Pad See Ew to the Orange Chicken and Beef Noodles, was generously sauced and genuinely flavorful. What truly distinguishes this place, however, is its welcoming staff. While it may not feature the absolute highest quality, the largest portions, or the lowest prices in Asian cuisine, it finds an excellent balance among these factors. I highly recommend it for a satisfying lunch!

The first time I tried the grilled pork banh mi, it was incredible—easily the best I had enjoyed in years, especially since my favorite banh mi spots had either closed down or their quality had declined. However, when I returned this past Sunday, I was disappointed to find that the banh mi was just okay. The mayo was barely noticeable, and there was way too much butter, which was literally dripping out of the sandwich. I believe mayo pairs perfectly with the vegetables, and after having such a fantastic experience the first time, I felt let down. Seeing the size of the sandwich made me decide to add a slice of mango cheesecake, thinking I would need more to satisfy my hunger—and honestly, I couldn't resist. The cheesecake was delicious, but $5 for a small slice seems a bit pricey. I might give the banh mi another chance in the future, hoping that my last experience was just an anomaly.
