The staff was friendly and attentive without being overly familiar. The restaurant itself was lovely with great ambiance. Everyone should gives this place a try.

If so you 'll believe this place is cursed and this will be the fourth restaurant to fail in this space. Regretfully, I gave this place a second chance, and like a teen trying to find itself, well, it still hasn 't. G 'Raj Mahal knew what it was and catered to it 's clientele. This place still hasn 't figured it out. Food was ok but way way overpriced for pub standard americanized indian food. Sure, there was grit from unproperly cleaned clams, and frozen seafood can be forgiven given the place was empty which unfortunately leads to zero atmosphere, but what was unexcusable was the waiter forgetting our appetizer Sorry that was my fault with no effort to correct his error. I loved G 'Raj, but alas, I won 't be coming here again.

Highly recommend the saag gnocchi, the naan, roasted cauliflower and the deconstructed samosas. I have a sneakily feeling I’m going to be a regular so I can try the rest of the menu. The staff and the owner were friendly, knowledgeable and gracious!

Otherwise it’s so har... read more We had a great experience with the food here. Highlights were the pani puri (hard to find elsehwhere), the brussels, and the coconut naan. Otherwise it’s so hard to find Indian in Austin so I’m thrilled Mumtaz is here. My only point of feedback isthe seating. We opted for the bar because the tables and chairs are really cheap and make an otherwise beautiful restaurant feelcold. Would be a simple fix so they don’t let a lovely space go to waste.
