Lobster ravioli is AMAZING!!! The sauce is sooo good and the lobster filling is divine...really! The Greek salads we had were very good. We ordered garlic bread and were so happy we did because it was warm with a toasted cheese mixture that wasdelicious! My husband and I were really surprised by the generous portions...thank you Milano for not skimping! The wonderfulfood, generous portions, pretty surroundings, and competent pleasant staff make this cafe a gem of a restaurant in South Austin. We are so impressed we are considering having our staff Christmas party at Milano. Thank you Milano Cafe! Oh!!!! I forgot tomention the Teramisou and the other yummy desserts...sooooo delicious!

Bathrooms were filthy, that 's usually the first sign something is wrong. Sure enough the food wasn 't much better. Food took 40 minutes to come out, but I 'm okay with waiting if it 's good. We ordered one lasagna to share, and the nice waitress brought out2. I asked if that was one serving, and the waitress said yes this is one serving . So I figured okay they just split it up forus. Unfortunately when the bill came it was billed as two servings. I went to the front for clarity as to what happened and thelady who runs the place gave me a hard time. It took several minutes of explaining and back and forth to get her to remove itfrom the bill. She did reluctantly remove it but her attitude was insulting. She insisted you ate it so you should pay . Youcan 't charge a customer for something they didn 't order, and didn 't even know they ordered after it arrived, that 's calledfraud. And the customer service was embarrassing. As for the lasagna itself it was mediocre at best. It was soaked in so muchcheese that all I could taste was mozzarella... It had very little flavour. It wasn 't bad, but it wasn 't good either.

You have to check out this place. Amazing local restaurant with authentic Italian from Sicily. If you are into art the owners work, Sami Demi the owner has some amazing pieces for sale and displayed throughout.

Great Italian reasturant. The owner Sam is also the artist of the wall paintings. Amazing guy to talk to. And the pizza is awesome.

My wife and I dithered about what rating to give, and settled on 4 stars. Everything was good, but not great. On the plus side, the portion sizes were reasonable (instead of embarrassingly large), the sauces were not overly sweet, and the ambience of the restaurant was good. On the minus side, the pasta was a bit overcooked and most things were a bit bland. Overall I?d say it?s the best Italian within 5 miles of home, but the sad truth is that?s a low bar to clear. We will come back here, but it?s not a place we?ll be dying to revisit in the short term.
