Contribute FeedbackThe restaurant has a mixed reception - some say the food is excellent, with standout dishes like shrimp and grits and fried chicken. However, service varies from attentive to neglectful. Some diners have noticed safety concerns during the pandemic, while others praise the attentive staff and cleanliness. The ambiance is colorful and local, and reservations through OpenTable are a plus. Overall, Max's seems to have great potential, with delicious food options, but inconsistencies in service and safety measures are potential areas for improvement. It's definitely a spot in Austin worth checking out.
It was not open even though the reservation was available. Surprising.
Great experience and good food. The person there was very helpful and made sure that we were not sitting at some of the tables that were not sanitation. I appreciate it! My guests also enjoyed it themselves.
Drinks, food, service all amazing! I'm from Austin and that was my first time, definitely back!
Food was excellent and so was the service. Unfortunately, we were one of only 3 groups eating there at night. At Kovid not pray with this restaurant. A great place to go to Austin. I highly recommend it. This chicken sled...
We was the first customers in the restaurant, a group of 6 and it took us over a hour to get our food. Other guests came in after us and got there food before us. Don't want to use race but we are black and the other party was white. This is unacceptable.
