I have been to many restaurants, but this one is truly exceptional. The atmosphere is lively with good music and the staff are all helpful, efficient, and friendly. The spicy edamame is delicious (just make sure to add extra spice!), the sushi is tasty, and the bowls are absolutely fantastic. The fresh veggies and flavorful sauces and meats really make the dishes stand out. If you're in Austin and haven't tried this restaurant yet, you definitely should.
I enjoyed a refreshing cold bourbon sake while waiting for my friends to arrive at the restaurant. It was a unique choice that satisfied my sake craving. Happy hour at this place offers fairly cheap drinks. My friends and I started our meal with some spicy edamame, and I opted for the 'build your own bowl' option with tofu, seasonal veggies, and Thai coconut curry with udon noodles. As a vegetarian, I often have limited options when dining out and am frequently disappointed, but not here! Everything was delicious. The flavor of the edamame was so good that I ended up pouring it over my main dish. The staff is dressed in smart uniforms with a touch of funky flair in their blue bow ties. The atmosphere is casual yet comfortable, and the staff is friendly, helpful, and seems genuinely happy. I can't wait to come back and try their vegetarian sushi roll, although it will be difficult to resist ordering the build-your-own bowl again!
Before visiting this restaurant, we read some reviews. As newcomers to Austin, I typically don't enjoy Maine root soda, but the food here exceeded my expectations. The prices may be higher than what we are accustomed to in New York, but paying $60 for two appetizers and a salad seems reasonable. I highly suggest trying this restaurant.
First timers, tried it with recommendation and was not disappointed. The food was delightful.
