We were excited to try Juniper. The pasta dishes, crab bucatini and cacio, were exceptional. The focaccia and cream was delicious. The potato appetizer dish is overpowered by the spice of the mustard sauce but bland without it, but the texture was amazing. The cookie that comes with the gelato was dry but the espresso paired well with it. The beef carpaccio I would skip for next time.
Portions were a little bit small for the price but the food was so good! Parking was valet and very convenient. Dessert was SO GOOD!! I will def be going back.
We had the absolute best time at Juniper sitting at the chefs table. Michael , our server and bartender, was extremely personable and attentive. It felt like we had the entire place to ourselves, despite the dining room being full. We were able to meet Adrian and Abby behind the line and they were absolutely incredible , demonstrating precision and care with each dish! I cannot recommend this place enough, truly a one of a kind culinary experience !! Thank you so much!!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
We visited for my wife’s birthday celebration, and overall it was a solid experience—though I had hoped for something truly exceptional. The food quality was impressive. My steak was cooked perfectly to order—tender, juicy, and flavorful. However, it fell short of what I’d expect from a true Wagyu or even a high-end New York strip. There was virtually no visible fat cap or marbling; it lacked the rich intramuscular fat that defines premium Wagyu (which far exceeds USDA Prime standards in marbling). The dish was delicious and well-prepared, but labeling it as “Wagyu” or “NY Strip” on the menu felt misleading. A more accurate description would help set proper expectations. Service was another area that disappointed. Our server seemed disengaged and reluctant—like he was doing us a favor by being there. Both my wife and friend noticed it too; my friend even quietly asked if I thought the server was unhappy serving us. It detracted from what should have been a special evening. While the meal was good (and I’d return for the food alone), it didn’t quite reach the “great” level I wanted for my wife’s birthday. That said, the kitchen clearly knows what it’s doing, so next time I’d love to try the chef’s tasting menu and sit at the bar for a more intimate experience. Thanks for a memorable (if not perfect) night—we appreciated the effort on the food! Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4 Price per person: $90–100
