What User doesn't like about Ihop:
I placed a to-go order online and paid for it in advance on Thursday at 8:30. When I arrived, the restaurant was mostly empty, but a staff member informed me that their only cook had left, and my food wouldn't be prepared. I asked for a refund since I had already paid, but he didn't know how to process it and advised me to call back the next day to speak with a manager. I did not like the service. The waitress look like she did not want to be there. I explain to her what I wanted to do. That was to order our meal first then have our short stacks later. She ended up bringing our meal and one short stack together. I had to get up and go ask for the other short stack after I was done eating. She was nowhere to be found I had to call out to three times before someone answered me in the back. She never came and asked if we wanted a refill on our drinks or even to ask if we wanted something else on top of our pancakes. I waited and waited watched my husband eat his pancakes while I was waiting for mine. I was so very irritated with this young lady that you all call a waitress. This is one of the worst location here in Austin. Ever time I go to this location which is close to my house. I get better service at Denny’s than at this location. That cooks are doing good because the food tastes awesome. You can do better on the Waiters.??
IHOP used to be a place for reliable late night food in the area, but lately wait times have been too long to bother and it's clearly a staffing issue. I highly suggest upping the ante on pay and benefits to attract more workers. Hats off to the cooks, servers, hosts and everyone else keeping the operation running, but management has a lot of work to do to. Football season is upon us, I'm not confident this location is going to be able to keep up with their staffing issues.
9 of us waited over 30 minutes before leaving Saturday after game.. 2 tables one with 6 people one with 5 people only two servers busy according to hostess that why we had to wait for them to finish eating.. there was probably 17 empty tables lady would not sit us down we left
The food was exactly what is to be expected. Though the service was lagging in the prep ready department. 4am is not a time of day to be leaving a team without a leader during pre-breakfast mode and emcourage shoulder shrugs and throwing nasty looks towards customers. Unfortunately these are the times we live. To the 2 lady 's that were holding down the fast food restaurant all by themselves, thank you. You deserve more than a trophey!
Service was prompt but my tips with egg not my choice to get again wasn't crazy about the sirloin having a sweet taste but love their coffee and pancakes and hashbrowns
