Hunan Ranch - Austin
Hunan Ranch
Description
**Restaurant Review: A Mixed Bag of Experiences**
This Austin eatery has garnered mixed feedback, with patrons enjoying various dishes while others leave disappointed. While some highlight the generous portions and delightful flavors of pan-fried noodles and sesame chicken, others criticize the lackluster firecracker shrimp and underwhelming takeout portions like the Mapo Tofu. Despite encountering issues such as long waits and unpleasant odors, many appreciate the friendly service and reasonable prices. Notably, the venue's cleanliness and accommodating staff during gatherings stand out. Overall, this restaurant remains a contender for casual outings, though diners should choose their dishes with care.

The food was fantastic! The service began well, but when my wife requested another to-go box, she noticed that our waitress, Chubby Ana, made an inappropriate comment.
We ordered the moo goo gai pan with Hunan sauce instead of white sauce..it was sooo good and fresh! My husband and I split one order and could barely finish it all! We will be back!
We go to lunch here about twice a month. Like the Happy Family and Neptune’s Delight. We get them spicy and it is perfect. The combination includes an egg roll and soup and is an outstanding value. Highly recommend lunch and dinner is good too.
