Was Hannah at Hideaway Kitchen a mag?
The restaurant was quite busy, which resulted in a longer wait time, and I found their prices to be on the higher side. Nevertheless, the food was outstanding! The chicken and cornbread were incredible, though quite rich and very sweet. I would definitely return to sample more dishes. My friend raved about the honey butter chicken biscuit, giving it a perfect 10 out of 10! View all feedback.

Excuse my pictures, they do not do the food justice. The hideaway burger has got to be one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. If Bob’s burgers was a real place, it would be this place. The burger had bacon jam, aged cheddar and some what seemed to be homemade butter pickles in between two soft and fluffy buns. The herb fries were the perfect side. Also, Giovanni(hope I spelled that right) was the sweetest host. Amazing experience! Try this place!
What a gem this place is! The Hideaway may seem like an unassuming spot from the outside, but don’t let that deceive you. The ambiance is warm and inviting, and the staff is friendly and cheerful. And the food? Absolutely amazing! From the beautiful presentation to the incredible flavors—wow! This is a must-visit when you’re in Austin!
This place definitely matches it name for sure. The hideaway it's a hidden spot in Austin the food is pretty good. My sister I decided to try this place for breakfast. She had the smoke salmon the chicken cornbread and she was very impressed. I had the spinach fritatta that was a little bit questionable because the egg whites were burnt but I sent it back and chef remade it then they were nice enough to bring out the peach cobbler waffle as compliment for this mistake and I really appreciated the thought it was very tasty as well. Oh yeah I ordered the pecan pie waffle and it's an absolute yes must try. We would go back and recommend to others.
This was our first visit to the restaurant, and it definitely won't be our last. We came here for Sunday brunch and had a wonderful meal. Although the restaurant doesn't take reservations, it operates on a counter-service model. When we arrived, there were only a few people ahead of us in line. We did wait a couple of minutes for a table to open up since it's a seat-yourself establishment, but that was partly due to the chilly weather making outdoor seating less appealing. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, complete with live music from an electric violin. I enjoyed the enormous and delicious honey butter chicken biscuits, while my husband savored the biscuits and gravy, which he thoroughly loved. There are numerous other dishes on the menu that we look forward to trying during our future visits.
