Feedback
The restaurant offers a unique experience with impeccable ambiance, service, and curated dishes. While some reviews criticize the pricing and lack of attention to detail in certain dishes, others highlight the exceptional service and delicious food. The menu may sound strange, but the waitress is knowledgeable and encouraging, leading to delightful flavors. The fire and smoke theme adds a special touch. The restaurant is recommended for a special occasion splurge, with standout dishes like the scallops, butternut squash, and halibut. Overall, a fantastic dining experience with excellent service, making it worth a return visit.
The presentation of the dishes at this restaurant was impressive, but unfortunately, that was the only positive aspect. The flavors and ingredients did not complement each other well. It seems like the chef is trying to achieve a Michelin star, but simply combining random ingredients without thought does not meet that standard in my opinion. Additionally, everything was overly salty. I would recommend skipping this restaurant.
I had high expectations for this restaurant based on the positive reviews. However, my experience was disappointing. The napkin I was given smelled like wet rags, which was unpleasant. My soda was flat and I had to ask for a replacement. The food was well thought out in terms of ingredients and sourcing, but the presentation was lacking and the dishes were unbalanced. The lions mane mushroom plate was overpriced and didn't meet my expectations. The chicken was rubbery and the cabbage was slimy, although the beets were delicious. Overall, it felt like the restaurant still needed to work out some kinks. I have had better experiences at other fine dining restaurants in Austin and this place did not live up to my expectations. I may not rush to make a reservation here again.
Had dinner at the bar. The bartenders were lovely, interesting, attentive and overall amazing. My friend and I enjoyed caviar, martinis, beef crudo and crème brûlée that was the best I’ve ever tasted. We had to order one more just to make sure.
4th time spending our anniversary here and it’s always so special. Favorite romantic spot in town! Keep killing it.
