Reviews - Henbit
Reviews summary
At Henbit, diners can expect a mix of experiences with standout dishes like the double patty burger and sweet potato tots garnering praise for freshness and flavor. However, inconsistencies in seasoning, like overly salty burgers, and service lapses with forgotten orders have raised concerns. Visitors appreciate the accommodating staff and fresh ingredients, creating a pleasant atmosphere. Notable favorites include the grilled chicken salad and decadent cookies. While many promote a return visit, some have expressed reservations due to recent experiences. Overall, Henbit remains a delightful option in Austin's culinary scene.

They customized a bowl for me since I?m new to plant based eating and it was BEYOND DELICIOUS! The lemonade was perfect too. Very friend and accommodating staff.
I came here for the breakfast burrito, but I was a little late for breakfast so I went for the Reuben sammie boy was I happy with that choice! That had to be the most delicious Reuben sandwich on the planet earth! The peppers and sauerkraut complimented the salty flavors of the perfectly cooked meat and melted cheese. Oh and the spicy cucumbers on the side were heaven. Also, I couldn?t leave without trying the infamous monster cookie quite possibly the most delicious cookie I?ve ever eaten. You need this cookie in your life! Buy a few for the road, because you?ll be dreaming about it for days to come!!
The monster cookie is incredible when it's warm out of the oven and even after it cools! It's definitely a must-visit if you're in Austin, TX.
After a lackluster bat-watching experience under Congress Bridge, we decided to swing by for a late-night snack, and I’m so glad we did! The burger we had was absolutely phenomenal—easily one of the top five burgers I've ever tasted. If you find yourself in Austin, you can't miss it. The ingredients are fresh and packed with flavor, and the meat is incredibly delicious! I can't recommend this burger highly enough. The only downside is that it was so amazing that I can't get it off my mind!
I ordered a single (double) patty burger and a matcha lemonade. The burger was saltier than I anticipated, and I’m not sure why it was so salty. They forgot my drink at first, and I had to ask for it, which led them to check if I had actually ordered it. The drink itself was good, but I'm unsure if I'd go back just for the burger.

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant due to the poor service. I was waiting in line behind another customer who was being helped by one of the three employees on duty. Once that customer completed their transaction, the employee simply turned away and left without acknowledging me. I stood there waiting to be assisted, but no one addressed me. Eventually, I spotted the self-service ordering kiosk next to the register. What frustrated me was that the employee who had just finished assisting the other customer didn't say whether they would take more in-person orders or direct me to the self-service option. To make things worse, the other two employees, who were visible and moving around, were fully aware of my presence but didn't acknowledge me at all.
I ordered a double patty burger and a matcha lemonade. The burger was saltier than I expected, and I'm not quite sure why. They also forgot to bring my drink, which meant I had to remind them, and they needed to check if I had actually ordered it. The drink was nice, but given the burger experience, I'm not sure if I'd come back. Food rating: 3/5.
We also sampled a pasta salad, poke, and a fried chicken sandwich. The poke was my favorite, despite the small portion—I was in the mood for something light after indulging in BBQ and tacos for days. While the cookie is the star of the show, the food is still tasty if you're looking to satisfy your hunger as well.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: I had a really disappointing experience at this restaurant. While some of the food was good, some dishes were just average. However, the biggest letdown was being charged twice for a fairly pricey meal. I've tried reaching out to the restaurant at least four times with no response, and there's no option to leave a message either. I won't be returning to this place again.

They prepared a custom bowl for me since I'm new to plant-based eating, and it was absolutely amazing! The lemonade was also perfect. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
I visited this restaurant hoping to try their breakfast burrito, but I arrived a bit late for breakfast. Instead, I opted for the Reuben sandwich, and I couldn’t have been happier with my choice! It was possibly the tastiest Reuben I’ve ever had. The peppers and sauerkraut paired beautifully with the savory flavors of the perfectly cooked meat and melted cheese. Additionally, the spicy cucumbers served on the side were absolutely delightful. I also had to sample the famous monster cookie, which might just be the best cookie I’ve ever tasted. You absolutely need this cookie in your life! Grab a few to take with you, because you'll be thinking about it for days!
After a letdown watching the bats under Congress Bridge, we stopped by for a late-night snack, and I have to say, this burger was incredible! It's easily one of the top five burgers I've ever tasted. If you're in Austin, you absolutely must try it! It's freshly prepared, packed with toppings, and the meat is full of flavor. I can't recommend this burger highly enough—it's genuinely remarkable how delicious it is!
I had lunch at this restaurant while attending a conference at the JW Marriott, and I ordered the kale and avocado salad with Harissa chicken. It was fantastic! The salad was flavorful, with tender kale and a delightful dressing, and it was surprisingly filling. The service was excellent, and the ingredients were incredibly fresh. It was so good that I returned the very next day for another one. I had a wonderful experience and genuinely hope they consider opening a location in Minneapolis!

REWRITTEN REVIEW: I had a letdown of an experience. While some dishes were quite good, others were merely average. The most frustrating aspect was being billed twice for an already pricey meal. I've attempted to contact the restaurant four times with no response, and there wasn't even an option to leave a message. I certainly won't be returning to this place.
We also sampled the pasta salad, poke, and fried chicken sandwich. My favorite was the poke, even though the portion was on the smaller side—I was craving something light after indulging in BBQ and tacos for days. The cookie is definitely the highlight of the visit; while the food acts more as a side option, it's still quite delicious if you're looking for a meal.
