I walk in there with my gf to grab the classic happy chick combo and the bartender puts it in, everything is good so far. He later comes out while our food is being prepared so we therefore request a Michelob ultra while we wait. He proceeds to say that he is cutting us off and that he will not serve us any alcohol. This comes as a surprise to us because we entered as two individuals who maybe had 2-3 drinks earlier that day during a seafood broil on east 6th. Which at this point we’re fine and grabbing food from this establishment before calling an uber to go home. I had never before today been “cut off” because i am never drunk or over the top as the typical audience that find themselves on 6th street. This was just a super weird interaction and I question his perception of truly analyzing those he deem “drunk”; I probably will stick to the happy chicks on burnet since i don’t encounter these weird interactions. From a business standpoint (as i am myself) this was something that would steer consumer interaction away. Especially when employees cannot differentiate between the idiots that are usually on “dirty 6th” and those who wish to spend their money for services. The employee in question is a shorter white male with a beard who worked the Sunday of April 14th, 2024.
