Gyro Center - Austin

Amazing food. We had the gyro plate and the meat over fries. The meat over fries had ketchup and Tzatziki sauce and it doesn't pair well in my opinion. It didn't stop me from devouring it tho. I only tried the two but will definitely come back to try more of their stuff.

While I would have liked a little more salad, the rice was excellent—fluffy and not dry or hard at all. The salad included those Mediterranean pickles that I love, and most importantly (which is the main reason for this review), the red onions were thinly sliced. I adore red onions, but I can't handle them when they're cut thick. I’m not in the food industry, but do people really complain about their onion slices being too thin? I can enjoy a mouthful when they're sliced thin but struggle with thick rings. Overall, I’ll definitely be returning and will bring friends next time!

I decided to try this place on a whim when I found out the Bahn Mi truck next door was closed, and I'm so glad I did! This was definitely some of the best food I've had in a long time. The flavors were incredible, everything was fresh, and the portion sizes were generous. The meat was tender, perfectly spiced, and served hot. The vegetables were extremely fresh, and the sauces tied everything together beautifully, with the spicy sauce adding a fantastic kick. I will absolutely be coming back! (I ordered the combo wrap, without cucumbers.)

I wish I could have shared a photo, but I devoured everything too quickly! I ordered the chicken kebab plate, and it was just perfect. It was incredibly fresh, delicious, and flavorful—so good! I can't wait to order again.
