Description

Group Therapy offers a chic and unique setting, with great food and drinks, though it may be overpriced for some. The service and noise level can be hit or miss, but the ambience and live music create a cozy vibe. Dishes like short rib, fried chicken, and omelettes received praises, while some items were underwhelming. Despite some service hiccups and price complaints, most customers enjoyed the overall experience, especially the rooftop pool. Whether for a special occasion or casual dining, visiting Group Therapy in Austin is worth considering.

Great restaurant beautiful space, nice menu that offered a variety of options for our group despite our numerous allergies and sensitivities. Excellent and enjoyable.

Lamp lollipops and hamachi crudo were DELISHHHHH!!! Also the Mexican Martini with half tajin half salt rim was to die for.

At first our experience started off great . Drinks were fantastic, server was great and so were the vibes ! We ordered the pork carnitas wontons to start , they were amazing , giving me high hopes for the rest of our experience. Then came the mains . I ordered the scallops , girlfriend opted for the truffle mushroom ragu with chicken and we split an order of the grilled carrots . For the scallops , beautiful sear on one side , raw on the other and almost no sauce on the plate , flavor and seasoning were on point though. My girl friend liked her dish , but the chicken was dry and tough to the chew , again , seasoned well , just not properly executed. Lastly , the “grilled” carrots . They came out blanched and undercooked , not a grill mark in sight , also happened to find a piece of plastic hiding in them . We opted to replace them with the Brussels which took almost 20 minutes to come out well after we had finished our dinner . I definitely feel like a manager should have touched the table considering we had it booked for a special occasion, but all we saw was our server and her touches were far spread and not consistent . Maybe we caught them on a bad night , but it’s Saturday in Austin . Worth a visit , but don’t get your hopes up .

Group Therapy was great! Monday is 1/2 off bottles of wine, our food was really good, and our server, Jocelyn was so sweet and fun to talk to! Totally recommend!

Food was great, chicken was juicy but a bit bland, but the feta sauce saved it. Kids were swimming in the pool at 9pm and ruined the ambiance. Other than that good.
