What Lincoln Scott doesn't like about Eurasia Sushi:
Out of the things I tried, the fried dumplings were the only good one. There was also obnoxious live music playing very loud Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3 Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options: Free parking lot View all feedback.
This review is specifically about TAKE OUT. I am a big fan of Eurasia and have always rated our dine-in experiences as A+. However, I was very disappointed with my take-out order today. I ordered three of their best sushi rolls, expecting each one to be in a separate container. Instead, they squished all three rolls into a tray that was far too small, making it look quite unappetizing. I spent $60 on this order, so the least they could have done was provide better containers and put each roll in its own box! I rate this experience a solid F. Please see the photo.
The sake selection is wonderful, with so many varieties to choose from. I highly recommend the Yuki Nigori lychee flavor—it's an unfiltered sake that's not only delicious but also sneaks up on you! The tamago is decent, but nothing particularly memorable. However, the tempura eggplant is incredible—crispy and crunchy, served with a flavorful sauce that really enhances it. Their mixed green salad is superb as well, drenched in what I believe is sesame seed dressing, which pairs perfectly. My favorite roll is the Buddha roll, filled with tempura-fried vegetables that add a delightful crunch, topped with a delicious sauce. For drinks, I love the Darling Nikkei; it’s a refreshing mix of a margarita and a mojito. Overall, this place is a must-visit!
I've had good sushi, really good sushi, and this was not it. To be fair, the sashimi was fresh and delicious. But this restaurant was listed as the top 15 in Austin. No way. The calamari, recommended by the waiter, was burned and the toughest I have ever had. The scallops were pedestrian and served with mashed potatoes that reminded me of high school boxed pots. If true sushi is the only thing they are good at, that is all that should be on the menu.
Wow! somehow this place slipped off my radar and I feel embarrassed that I hadn't been before last night. Super pleased with the creative, beautiful and delicious rolls. The menu was vast so we stuck with rolls and avocado appetizer (recommended) this first time. Great friendly service and live music made for a great first experience! Looking forward to going back.
With two young kids, going out to eat can often feel like more trouble than it's worth. We have had consistently good service and food here. They bring out about kids food as soon as they can, without us even having to ask. Big thanks to all the staff for giving us a nice night out.
