Description

Curra's Grill in Austin is a fun and colorful Mexican restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. While some diners were disappointed by menu choices, including the famous avocado margarita, others enjoyed delicious dishes like Mole Enchiladas and Pollo Chipotle. The restaurant offers vegan-friendly options and has received praise for its generous portion sizes and unique cocktails. Despite some issues with service and changes in portion sizes, Curra's Grill remains a popular destination for many diners looking for tasty Mexican cuisine in a lively setting.

Curras has been a favorite restaurant of mine for years. However, unfortunately over the past year, the owner’s focus seems to be shifting more towards profit than quality. They first decreased portion sizes of the side dishes, then they changed the enchilada plate to include only one side when previously it came with both rice and beans. Finally, the quality of the food has gone downhill and many items are overpriced. I ordered dinner to-go two weeks ago and both the refried black and refried pinto beans tasted horrible. Sadly, Curras will no longer be a frequent destination for me. Only pros were the service I received was great.

Although I did not eat any food even though I know the food is great) during this visit, I was only there for an Avocado Margarita and boy it was just like I remembered it!!!

Good atmosphere, friendly staff. Food was okay. Waitress was sweet but did not come to take our order for almost 15 min after we sat down and hardly ever checked on us. We had to ask for a high chair several times before someone finally brought it, and the strap was broken, so it was useless. Overall it was a good place to visit with friends, decent food, but service was lacking.

An Austin staple. You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.

First time to try. Met family for breakfast. Service was spot on what you want from your waitress. Coffee was yummy. Wait was minimal and food was fresh and hot. I didn't get to take photos of everything we ordered because we couldn't wait to try it all. Had a great time because we had so much great food and we not rushed out by staff. I recommend this place if you are looking for good Mexican food with an interesting twist. Try it!
