Nestled in Austin’s Zilker neighborhood, Confituras elevates biscuits into flaky, multilayered delights—almost baklava-like—paired with inventive jams and rich butter. This cozy neighborhood bake shop highlights locally sourced Texas produce and artisan goods, serving biscuit sandwiches (pimento cheese with bacon), salads, soups, coffee and tea. Friendly, hands-on ownership and a warm atmosphere make it perfect for casual breakfasts, quick lunches, takeaway, or gifting small-batch jams. This place is excellent! The biscuits are quite unique. They are airy and remind me actually somewhat of baklava in their multilayered construction. Also, they're made of substances that are healthier and better for gut health. The jam and butter are great too. I was pleasantly surprised by the grapefruit jam. Confituras is my favorite local spot for flaky biscuits and jam, along with the freshest salads and soups made from Texas-grown produce. They also feature products from local food artisans, all served with wonderful hospitality from the owner and her team. It's a true gem in the Zilker neighborhood.
If you're going to operate a restaurant that specializes solely in biscuits, those biscuits better be exceptional. Fortunately, this quaint kitchen delivers some of the finest flaky, layered squares of delight that you can find. Complemented by unique and tasty jams, each biscuit comes with its own delightful character. To top it off, the butter is so good that it nearly competes with the biscuits themselves.
I'm thrilled that this restaurant has opened up (and I realize this review is long overdue)! It's conveniently located right near our home, which is a big plus, and the food is absolutely fantastic! They serve delightful biscuits with jam, as well as coffee and tea. They've recently added pimento cheese on a biscuit with bacon, and it's simply divine! I also had a salad, which was outstanding. We often take their food home for breakfast, and today was our first time trying lunch, which was incredible. The staff is always friendly and helpful too.
Super cute little bake shop known for its amazing biscuits and jams. Also has some great breakfast items. Try the apple butter, pear jalapeño, and cranberry cinnamon jam.
