Citizen Eatery offers outstanding flavors, all while being entirely vegan and vegetarian. As someone who typically enjoys meat, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the food here. Chips and queso hit the spot! Service was great! We just weren’t that impressed with the Citizen burger or the chik’n tacos. It was a good meal but it’s not on our “must go here every time we are in Austin” list. View all feedback.
Was a bit disappointing as compared to most other all vegan restaurants we try out when traveling. None of us are vegan, but i have been a strict vegetarian for over 30 years fyi/tbh.The best dishes were the apps- pesto beets hen of the woods with espresso bbq sauce.The Taco salad was meh. The breakfast sandwich won points for the egg substitute being grilled hence smokey flavor but not great. The tofu sandwich was ruined by putting pesto on white bread (said focaccia on menu) which made it almost immediately soggy. The curry veg burger was ruined by there being very little flavor and it being very greasy/fried!The cookie to go was chewy but not dry.Vegetarian options: All veganDietary restrictions: All vegan, with gf options
This restaurant was phenomenal as the atmosphere was great, food came out quickly and tasted amazing and the service was extremely quick and inviting. The season lavender cinnamon kombucha was some of the best I’ve ever tasted. Highly recommend this spot to my fellow vegans!Food: 5/5
I enjoyed my experience dining here. The restaurant was busy and the food came quick. Ordered the breakfast sandwich, potatoes, and pancakes. Yum! The pancakes are delicious.
Gotta get the mushrooms and the pesto beets! Everything was so fresh and delicious. Loved the atmosphere. The drinks are flavorful but powerful. Fantastic service. Gotta leave room for dessert, very rich and heavy. Very happy with everything I experienced!
