The $5 price for an "outage on a stick," which is generously topped with a delicious classic barbecue sauce, along with onions and pickles, is a fantastic deal. Honestly, it would be incredible to get two for $5! (Is there really just one option available?)
I felt like I had died and gone to rib heaven! If you're in Rockport, this is the spot you need to visit! A huge thanks to Adrian Gutierrez for the best ribs and sauce I've ever had! Absolutely delicious!
The food truck is clean and well-kept. The service and food are exceptional! You definitely need to give it a try! Let’s support our local businesses!
I ordered three turkey legs at $9.00 per leg and they were all slimy and raw. The brisket baked potato was old and grey and came with a cup of un refrigerated shredded cheese and the cup sour cream was hot with the consistency of hot milk. The brisket sandwich had a stale bun and the four corn on the cobs were raw. Very disappointing and a waste of $70, my family was very hungry due to refusing to eat the poor quality and unappetizing food. No heat and smoke from the pit which was an indication of the food possibly being prepared before arriving to Rockport Beach. Never again, so disgusting!
The sausage is the worst I have ever had. Came at 11am and they were serving per-cut sausage that was dry and had to be more that a day sitting out. They have a container the just grad with their hands that is room temperature. All the BBQ was dry and cold. Came in to buy lunch for my crew down the street needless to say they were not happy.
This local BBQ gem offers a range of Texas favorites that can delight or disappoint. While some diners rave about the melt-in-your-mouth brisket and flavorful ribs, others have encountered issues with food quality, including undercooked meats and outdated sides. The friendly owner and reasonable prices enhance the experience for many, making it a treasured spot in Rockport. However, the inconsistency in food preparation raises concerns among customers. Overall, this BBQ Caboose has potential, but dining experiences can vary widely.

I absolutely adore this small BBQ Caboose! It offers classic, straightforward Texas BBQ at its finest. My favorite is definitely the chopped beef brisket sandwich. The owner and BBQ master is genuinely one of the nicest business owners in the Lake Travis area. There’s nothing pretentious about it, and the prices are reasonable. If they ever leave the area, we would be losing a real gem. Make sure to support this local BBQ truck—you won’t regret it!

The $5 sausage on a stick is totally worth it, loaded with a tasty, classic BBQ sauce, plus onions and pickles. I’d love to see a deal for 2 for $5—that would be fantastic! Just a suggestion!
I feel like I’ve entered rib paradise! If you’re in Rockport, this is a must-visit place! Huge thanks to Adrian Gutierrez for serving the best ribs and sauce I’ve ever tasted—absolutely mouthwatering!
