Description

Set in the Kimpton Hotel Van Zandt on Rainey Street, this cozy, beautifully decorated café offers standout croissants, crisp fries and a pleasant breakfast/lunch menu in a clean, laptop-friendly space. Staff are warm and hospitable—hotel guests enjoy complimentary drip coffee—and the spot is breastfeeding-friendly with souvenirs available. However, prices skew high, portions and coffee quality can be inconsistent, and the menu lacks a broader selection of fresh hot options, so value-minded diners may prefer alternatives.

Situated in the Hotel Van Zandt near Rainey Street, this spot offers a contemporary Austin atmosphere with a concise menu of drinks and food options. They also provide gifts, souvenirs, and grab-and-go food. It's an excellent location for relaxing or holding informal meetings. Valet and street parking are available. We ordered chai lattes and cold brew, which were decent but average. The baristas were friendly and welcoming.

Cafe 605 is an excellent spot for a drink and a snack. They offer both breakfast and lunch options. The seating is comfortable, making it a perfect place to take a peaceful break from the hustle and bustle of Rainey Street.

I ordered a very overpriced takeaway latte for $6.50 (plus tip), and it was terrible. All I could taste was milk, with hardly any coffee flavor. Don't waste your hard-earned money at this place, everyone.

The $5 cortado was exceptionally unremarkable and bitter, of course that will vary by barista. Ordered $15 chicken tenders, received 3 very small, ordinary tenders and a colossal amount of fries.Great, easy spot of hotel guests and local drunks. Not so great otherwise
