Fun place and you simply MUST do the dance lessons with Terry on Saturday- she is hilarious.Very traditional band the night we were there, but dancing was still good. Cash is king here. View all feedback.
What Rick Moon dislikes about Broken Spoke:
Great old place, very historical, great museum. Got the chicken fried steak. Was no flavor and too stringy, worst cfs I ever had. Brisket plate was undercooked. Waitress was OK, dance lessons was the instructor talking 90% of the time and never got to the western swing. OK dance floor, could've used some sawdust. Sweated in the restaurant, dance floor was cooler. Liked the music from the derailers. Bar staff was good... View all feedback.
What a legendary place! it was her jubilee night and I felt like I had returned to a movie in the time. amazing music, beautiful environment, most beautiful.
Since the owner, james, this place has unfortunately run away last year. if it were institutions or food, it would be understandable. but they.
We had an annoying and unpleasant experience at the broken spoke. we were warned that the dance teacher would spend the first few minutes.
Never been, just want to and can't wait. I found this place because it was featured on the cover of George Strait's latest album, Honky Tonk Time Machine. I think it's cool. But why did he choose this place as the album cover? Was it a tribute to the founder? Does it hold a special place in his heart? Was he good friends with the Founder?
