Blue Star Cafeteria - Austin

I have yet to go to the actual restaurant...from the pics it looks really cool. So far I've only ordered through uber eats. I tried the tuna salad sandwich which was perfectly delicious, and the veggie bowl with grits topped with succulent gulf shrimp was a wise choice too. One my absolute favorite veggies is their crispy brussels... I definitely need to pay the restaurant a visit to get the full effect.

Excellent food. Beautiful plate presentation. Friendly staff very attentive but not overly. Just an overall great place with a wonderful atmosphere.

Very delicious food. I had the pan seared chicken and it was wonderful. However, I wish the portion size had been larger for the price. Or maybe the entree could have come with a side salad or bread. Also, our waitress was very nice, but she seemed a little busy when we first sat down. Took her a little longer than ideal to take our orders etc. She was apologetic about this so it wasn't that big of a deal. The place was very clean and nicely decorated. Another good spot on Burnet. I would really like to come back for their weekend brunch.

Very good! I got the spinach Waldorf salad and really liked it. We ordered the crispy artichoke hearts and I would get that again. Decent parking, not too busy on a Monday evening around 7.

Saw the line at a nearby restaurant and kept walking. So glad I did! Joanie's was delicious and had fast, great service! I had the croissant sandwich with egg, cheese and sausage with hash browns. It was huge enough to have shared. I was amazed at dishes coming out to other patrons; huge piles high waffles, omelette stuffed so full they were nearly as big as the plate. Try it, you won't be disappointed. I felt sad for those still choosing to wait in line down the street while I had a happy full belly!
