Blue Baker is a destination for great food and service, all at reasonable prices in a town that can be a bit on the weird and pricey side. Despite some uncomfortable booth seating and a lackluster atmosphere, the food is definitely the star here, with highlights like pumpkin bread that even pumpkin bread haters can't resist. With a mix of older style music playing in the background and a beautiful stone and color contrasting aesthetic, the vibe of the place really shines. From discounted day-old goods to delicious sandwiches and soups, Blue Baker offers a wide variety of options to satisfy your taste buds. And if you're a fan of cookies, their chocolate chip cookie is a must-try. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure your experience is a positive one, with some customers even receiving refunds for order mistakes. Overall, Blue Baker is a gem of a lunch spot that is definitely worth a visit.

Great food! We will be going back for the food but we will order to go. Blue Baker, it might be beneficial to change your booth seating, very uncomfortable. Plus, the atmosphere was dead. I saw a couple walk in and hesitate before deciding to order; there wasn't even anyone in line at the time. I think the place needs some energy. I do recommend the food! My boyfriend hates pumkin bread but ate a whole loaf of it. Lo... View all feedback.
Delicious pizza and fast service. Very generous on the meats for the meat pizza. Building is nice and open inside.
I really enjoyed my lunch here! Really good bread, we tried the jalapeno cheese bread, and they have discounted goods from the day before that are delicious as well. I liked my salad although there was too much balsamic drizzled on it. The bread bowl and broccoli cheese soup hit the spot. Looking forward to coming again!
Blue Baker is one of my favorite lunch spots! I think the Powder Blue is the best turkey sandwich in Austin. I also love the tomato soup with a slice of their homemade bread. And finally, Blue Baker makes an AMAZING chocolate chip cookie. They also have loaves of bread that you can buy to-go, including a big selection of day-old bread that's 50% off (and still tastes great). It can sometimes get a little crowded at lunch, but the restaurant is huge and has a ton of seating (inside and out). You order and pay at the counter, then seat yourself. I've never had a problem getting a seat. Make sure to sign up for their rewards program! About once a month I get free cookies, discounts on food, etc.
I ordered delivery with these guys for the first time. Although my order wasn't right, they went above and beyond to try to help me. They even insisted on refunding the order but i refused. I was happy with a simple correction. Once i received the corrected order, my food was delicious! The lobster bisque was very fresh and a large amount. My chicken salad sandwich was one of the best I've ever had!! I'll definitely be back!
I like the vibe. The mix of older style music. It sounds like a mix of jazz. There might of been a 'big band ' type track in the mix. The pizza was wonderful and very good. The staff is friendly. The architecture of the stone work on the walls, with the contrasting colors on the walls and ceiling. Makes it a interesting look and feel. I will be coming back again. If it wasn 't summer I would of sat on the patio.
