Bikkle Jamaican - Austin

I ordered the oxtail plate that came with steamed cabbage, rice and peas, and plantains. Unfortunately, I was let down by the oxtail; it was tough and quite fatty. However, the oxtail gravy was excellent—well-seasoned without being overly salty. The rice and peas were delicious, though I found the cabbage a bit too crunchy for my taste. Overall, the customer service and atmosphere were just average. I may consider giving it another chance in the future.

The food at this restaurant is truly delicious. My cousin ordered beef patties while I enjoyed some incredibly tasty curry chicken. Next time, we plan to dine in and bring the whole family along. I assure you, you won't be disappointed!

To make matters worse, when we approached the counter, the server didn't give us any warning about the food shortages or the changes to the menu. As we started to list what we wanted, we were simply told that many items were unavailable which was frustrating. Overall, I've enjoyed the food here before, and I know it's good, but bringing out-of-town guests for an hour's drive only to encounter such lackluster service and the unexpected news of an early closing with no signage is really disheartening.

First time there and it will not be my last food was awesome ??

I've always liked this place but their serving size is way too small for just a regular plate, what saves them is their customer service cooking!
