I have eaten there twice. On both occasions, the BBQ'd meat was delicious. The sides, however, are not very good.
I've been enjoying Bert's BBQ at various locations since before I could drive, and I’ve continued to go as often as I can. It's definitely my favorite barbecue spot in town, despite the numerous other excellent options available. You've found the place! Be sure to try the frito pie with some added sausage—it's delicious. It's a wonderful family-run establishment, run by some truly great people. A big thank you to Jay and Kid for keeping it alive, and to Gary for many years of fantastic food!
Had a chonky beef sandwich it wasn't chopped by any means, over priced for sure for what you get!
Nothing fancy here just a little hole in the wall Texas style BBQ joint serving spectacular top-notch BBQ. The decor and friendly service reminded me of simpler times. Brisket was moist and delicious.
